Mr. Chen: Had the pleasure of meeting you at Ocean County College in Toms River, NJ. You were kind enough to autograph 3 of your books for me. My son is engaged to a
Chinese National who is a professor of English in Shanghai. We need advice on how to get her to the USA on a fiancee visa.
We have been to 2 lawyers. However, they were more knowledgeable in Hispanic immigration. Can you recommend someone for us to contact? Thank you in advance for any help you can give us.
Mr. Chen
I just finished reading your book ‘Brothers’ and I can honestly say that i have never enjoyed an author so entirely! (I can hardly wait to get my hands on your other titles.) Your use of words/language pulled me in so that i felt a sense of “being there” as it was happening. I am extremely interested to know if there are any upcoming or future signings or engagements in the St.Louis Missouri area. Thank You for your amazing contributions to the literature world ( and looking forward to many more!)

Mr. Chen,
My son will be attending NC State this fall and they are reading “Sounds of the River” over the summer. I believe you will be making a visit to their campus in a few weeks. As we were leaving to go out of town for the weekend I picked your book up on my way out of the house to have something to read. I could not put it down. From a parent’s perspective I related to your Mother as my own son will be leaving for college in just a few short weeks. Thank you for sharing your life experiences in this book. Deb Shive
It was my pleasure to meet you at the ALA HarperCollins reception. I enjoyed speaking with you and Elaine from Kirkus about how life in the US differs from life in other countries.
Thank you for creatiing a small piece of art, wishing me longevity.
